  • One day workshop on ‘Volunteering With Differently-Abled Students’ on 08 Feb. 2013. With focus on developing the right attitude towards the differently-abled and to give a training on reading and recording audio books for them  Robin Reeves social worker from U.S.A, Mr. Liyakatali Sayyad, Director of Redo, Mr. Arvind Jadhav, Mr. M. S. Jadhav, Prof. V. S. Kadam were the resource persons for the program.


  • Veena Sahasrabdhe, founder of Third Eye Association, Nasik delivered a special lecture for the students on 12th December 2012 under the Volunteers Orientation program.


  • One week training program ‘On Basic Computing and Assistive Technologies for Visually Challenged’ from 11th February 2013 to 16th February 2013 was organized under the program of College with Potential for Excellence sponsored by UGC, New Delhi. Mr. Dhanjay Bhole, Prof. Vijay Kadam, Taha Hajik, Londhe Pradip, Mahesh Bhagwat, Shantanu Ladkat were the resource persons. The use of assistive technologies like various Microsoft windows utilities and Internet utilities with JAWS keystrokes was taught to the students in this program.
  • The one day workshop on ‘Basic Computing And Assistive Technology For Visually Challenged Students’ was jointly organized by Resource Centre for Differently-Abled, Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar, and Advance Technology Blind Students Learning Centre, Department of Education and Extension, University of Pune on 7th Feb 2012. National Role model awardee Mr. Dhananjay Bhole was the chief guest  and Mr. Shantanu Adlak was the instructor in the workshop.
  • Ahmednagar College Ahmednagar in Association with Adult Continuous Education and Extension Department, University of Pune, Organized a One Day Workshop on Higher Education for Physical Challenged Students entitled “Facts and Challenges in higher education  for  Physical Challenged Students” on 8th February 2011.
  • Dr. Dilip Falke, Director of Arunodaya Eye Hospital Arranged Free Eye check up  of the students of the centre on 10th August 2013.
  • The Resource Centre for Differently-Abled organized  a Meet on  the occasion of World White Cane day on
  • 15th October 2013. The problems of Visually challenged students regarding Writers in various examinations because of variation in Deferent G R was the key issue of discussion. Mr Ravindra satpte Secretory of Andha Seva Mandal, Ahmednagar and Mr Manikreo Vidhate were the guests of honour.
  • A two days state level workshop on ‘READING WITHOUT  SEEING’ was jointly organized by Resource Centre for Differently-Abled, Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar and Resource Centre for Visually  Challenged, Saint Xavier’s College, Mumbai on 31st August and
  • 1st September 2013 to provide information and hands on experience of 65 different types of gadgets for visually challenged. Mr. Rajesh Mehta, the senior manager in IBM Mumbai, Mrs. Hetal Shah, Mr. Sushil Pandit and  Mr. Keshav from Resource Centre for Visually  Challenged, Saint Xavier’s College, Mumbai, were the chief instructors for the workshop.   
  • Latest Touch screen Mobile Phones (Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo with Android operating system 4.1 with screen reading software priced Rs. 7,345 for one piece) were Gifted to 35 visually challenged students on the occasion of The 205th Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille on 4th Jan. 2014. President of Gynecologists and Obstetrician Association, Ahmednagar Dr. Nilesh Shelke was Chief Guest.
  • Visually challenged students with volunteers visited fort Raigad during a study tour to Konkan.
